Health & Safety Information

The Society for the Neural Control of Movement (NCM) is committed to holding a safe face to face conference in July 2022.  Due to the continuing pandemic, and ever-changing regulations, NCM will be following the health and safety measures from the Government of Ireland and the City of Dublin that are in effect at the time of the conference.  Please click here to find the regulations.

Delegates who do not adhere to the health and safety measures may be asked to leave the conference.

Before the conference

International delegates should follow the relevant health and travel requirements for their country and airline prior to departure.  Please make note of the requirements for entering Ireland and ensure compliance.

As of March 6, 2022, travelers to Ireland do NOT have to provide proof of vaccination or negative test results.  There are no current quarantine requirements for international travelers to Ireland.

If you have been exposed to COVID-19 in the five days immediately preceding the meeting, have symptoms, or test positive, stay home and do not attend the conference.

On site measures

Masks are currently (effective June 20, 2022) not required in Dublin but they are recommended for select businesses, health care facilities and public transportation.

Masks are required for participation at NCM 2022 when not eating, drinking, or presenting at the podium to keep each other safe and protected.  Please note, masks should cover both the mouth and nose.

NCM and the venue will be setting the meeting room and poster hall to allow for as much distancing as possible. We have also adjusted the program to separate the lunch times and the poster session to minimize the interactions between people without their masks on.

Hand sanitizing stations will be present throughout the venue and a small number of disposable masks will be available at the registration desk should one be requested.  In the interest of reducing environmental impact, kindly provide your own mask.

A box of five (5) Rapid Antigen tests will be provided to all NCM delegates for their personal use upon check in at the Registration Desk.  We recommend testing prior to the daily start of the conference to ensure you aren’t asymptomatic.  These tests are not valid for travelers who must show proof of COVID test results and are intended to be an awareness tool for delegates.

Please note, NCM will not have on site testing for COVID for travelers who require proof of negativity.  International delegates requiring testing prior to returning home, should review the requirements of their home, and transiting countries, and book the appropriate test as soon as possible.

Options for in person testing:

Should an onsite delegate not feel well or test positive for COVID-19 during the meeting, please stop attending the meeting and contact us at
