Scholarship Program
New investigators are essential for the future of any field of scientific inquiry. NCM has historically encouraged meeting participation by graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. The scholarship program is designed to provide recognition of their contributions to the science.
Application Guidelines
The Society for the Neural Control of Movement encourages trainees to present their work at the podium to enhance their recognition in the community and develop important skills; therefore, scholarship applications will be considered for submissions for Team (Multi-Author) and Individual Oral Talks. Applicants requesting posters will NOT be considered; however applicants who have submitted for an oral but were accepted as a poster will be considered. The indication of interest is required to accompany Team (Multi-Author) submissions or Individual Talks submissions by the respective submission deadlines.
Successful recipients are required to present a talk or poster during the meeting.
Requirements:
To be eligible for the award, a candidate must:
- be a NCM member in good standing
- be no more than six (6) years post PhD degree on January 1st 2025 (documented parental/sick leaves will be taken into consideration)
- indicate interest to be considered by the submission deadline
- submit an individual oral or be part of a submitted team presentation
*Please note that previous winners are not eligible for future scholarship opportunities.

Should the applicant be shortlisted, additional information will be required by a set deadline in order to be considered.
Additional information includes:
