Poster Information

Please use the information below to assist with your poster preparation and presentation.


Poster Specifications

  • Poster size is limited to 114cm (width) by 114cm meter (height), or 45 inches x 45 inches.
  • Please note the unique size of the poster due to the poster boards available.
  • Push pins will be available to attach your poster to the poster board. Tape, glue and other adhesives are not to be used on the poster boards.
  • Each poster has been given a unique Poster Number.

Poster Pointers

  • Keep text to a minimum
  • Ensure text is in large font (should be able to see from 4 ft. away)
  • Use graphs, charts, and/or tables
  • Ensure contents have a logical flow
  • Make it colorful
  • Do not include an abstract
  • Avoid titles with colons
  • Use italics instead of underlining
  • Mini-handouts of posters are encouraged in order to stimulate ad hoc discussion, and to provide participants with a useful copy for their own reading.


Poster Sessions


Poster presentations have been divided into 2 sessions and arranged based on poster themes. Posters will be on display as follows:

Poster Session 1

  • Tuesday May 1, between 08:00 – 17:00
  • Wednesday May 2, between 08:00 – 17:15

Poster Session 2

  • Thursday May 3, between 08:00 – 14:45
  • Friday May 4, between 08:00 – 14:45


Mandatory Hours

Poster presenters are not required to be at their poster during the coffee breaks, but please be aware that other delegates may be viewing your poster.  The poster must be in place by the first coffee break on the first day of your poster assignment.

New this year, poster presenters are required to be at their poster for one hour per day on the two assigned days of the poster session.  Presenters with a poster number that is uneven (1,3,5,7, etc) are required to be at the poster for the first hour of the session each of the two days.  Presenters with a poster number that is even (2, 4, 6, etc) are required to be at the poster for the second hour of the session each of the two days.

  • 10:15 – 10:45 (coffee break) – Each Day
  • 13:00 – 15:00 (lunch) – Tuesday, Wednesday
  • 12:45 – 14:45 (lunch) – Thursday, Friday

The format of poster presentations will be in conjunction with the coffee break and grazing lunch.  Food and beverage will be served in close proximity to the poster boards to maximize footfall to your presentation and engagement with attendees, as they will be moving through the poster display area to the various strategically placed lunch stations.


Poster Set-up / Removal


Poster presenters must set-up and remove their posters during the following times:

Poster Session 1

  • Set-up: Tuesday, May 1, 07:00 and 10:00
  • Remove: Wednesday, May 2, between 17:00 and 18:00 (you can also take your poster with you at the end of the poster session on Wednesday, May 2 at 15:00)

Poster Session 2

  • Set-up: Thursday, May 3, between 07:00 and 10:00
  • *Remove: Friday, May 4, at 14:45 (following the last poster session on Friday, May 4, please take your poster with you)

Early removal of posters is not allowed.  Posters not removed by the above noted times will be removed and disposed of accordingly.
