Poster Information

Please use the information below to assist with your poster preparation and presentation.

Poster Specifications

  • Poster size is limited to 100cm (width) by 100cm meter (height), or 40 inches x 40 inches.  Please note that posters can be slightly longer if needed, but they cannot be wider.  A0 printing is acceptable.
  • Push pins will be available to attach your poster to the poster board. Tape, glue and other adhesives are not to be used on the poster boards.
  • Each poster has been given a unique Poster Number.

Poster Pointers

  • Keep text to a minimum
  • Ensure text is in large font (should be able to see from 4 ft. away)
  • Use graphs, charts, and/or tables
  • Ensure contents have a logical flow
  • Make it colorful
  • Do not include an abstract
  • Avoid titles with colons
  • Use italics instead of underlining
  • Mini-handouts of posters are encouraged in order to stimulate ad hoc discussion, and to provide participants with a useful copy for their own reading.

Sessions

Poster Sessions

 

Poster presentations have been divided into 2 sessions and arranged based on poster themes. Posters will be on display as follows:

Poster Session 1

  • Wednesday April 24, between 08:00 – 17:30
  • Thursday April 25, between 08:00 – 17:30

Poster Session 2

  • Friday April 26, between 08:00 – 15:00
  • Saturday April 27, between 08:00 – 15:00

 

Mandatory Hours

Poster presenters are not required to be at their poster during the coffee breaks, but please be aware that other delegates may be viewing your poster.  The poster must be in place by the first coffee break on the first day of your poster assignment.

  • 10:00 – 10:30 (coffee break) – Each Day
  • 13:00 – 15:30 (lunch) – Wednesday
  • 12:30 – 15:00 (lunch) – Thursday, Friday, Saturday

The format of poster presentations will be in conjunction with the coffee break and grazing lunch.  Food and beverage will be served in close proximity to the poster boards to maximize footfall to your presentation and engagement with attendees, as they will be moving through the poster display area to the various strategically placed lunch stations.

Please make your way through the lunch buffet to get your food for lunch before making your way to your poster presentation. We have added additional time to the poster sessions for 2019 to allow poster presenters to quickly eat before presenting. 

 

Setup

Poster Set-up / Removal

 

Poster presenters must set-up and remove their posters during the following times:

Poster Session 1

  • Set-up: Wednesday April 24, 07:30 and 10:00
  • Remove: Thursday April 25, between 17:30 and 18:00 (you can also take your poster with you at the end of the poster session on Thursday April 25 at 15:00)

Poster Session 2

  • Set-up: Friday April 26, between 07:30 and 10:00
  • Remove: Saturday April 27, at 15:00 (following the last poster session on Saturday April 27, please take your poster with you)

Early removal of posters is not allowed. 

Posters not removed by the above noted times will be removed.  Posters that have been removed will be stored near the Registration Desk until the end of the meeting.  Following the meeting, all unclaimed posters will be recycled or disposed of accordingly.

Digital copies of poster abstracts will be available for download in our Member Resources area.
